Renovation of a Manhattan apartment including floors, kitchen, bath, bedroom and lighting. Glossy bamboo floors pull light far into the apartment, further accented by a resin coated reflector at the new opening between the kitchen and dining room. The kitchen offers granite countertops and mixture of maple and stainless steel cabinets, reinforcing the play between natural and man-made materials. The dining room is defined by soft cork tile flooring, mid-century modern furniture and colorful Chinese paintings. The bath is bright with white ceramic tile, while the natural element of water is represented in a cascade of variegated blue and white glass tile.
